Willie Rob Green, Age 69, of Accokeek, Maryland.

Willie Rob Green was born in Bishopville, South Carolina on March 8 ^th , 1950 to Helen Davis and Cleveland Green. He grew up in that small town with his brothers and sisters in a loving home. He graduated from State High School of South Carolina in 1968.

After high school he was drafted into the military and was stationed in Virginia. Willie served his country for over 20 years and finished with an honorable discharge. During this time he met the love of his life, Larrie and they were married on October 29 ^th, 1977.

They settled down in Maryland where they had three beautiful children, Wesley, Marquis and Arlandria. He was known better to them as "Woie" because they couldn't pronounce Willie. After retiring from the military he was employed with Washington Metro Transit Authority for 27 years where he made friends who became like family.

Willie was known for watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys in his grand man-cave and even traveled to Texas to see them live. Willie was an avi d bowler on several different teams and earned several bowling trophies. He also enjoyed playing and he taught tennis.  In addition to bowling and tennis, he loved himself a good game of chess. There were also rumors of him being a closet golfer.

Family and friends knew him as a jokester and he loved to keep people laughing. He also enjoyed eating good food while spending time with family and friends, even if he slipped away to watch the game. Willie was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend.

On Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Manor Health Care Services, Arlington, Virginia, Willie Green peacefully transitioned to eternal life.

Willie is survived by his loving wife, Larrie; children, Wesley, Marquis and Arlandria; daughter in law, Amanda; grandchildren, sister, Mammie; brother, Charles and a host of nieces, cousins and dear friend of over 40 years Mr. Willie Lee.

Willie R. Green aka "Woie" always smiled from his heart and that smile will continue to resonate in our hearts forever.
