THOMAS, WILLIAM NESTER (AGE 70) OF WALDORF, MARYLAND

William Nester Thomas passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2022 at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center.  He was the son of the late George Jake and Virginia Thomas.

He attended Charles County Public Schools. William was a farmer/laborer by trade for many years and enjoyed doing a variety of challenging jobs.  William loved helping others and often it was at no charge.  He enjoyed sitting and talking to family and friends on weekends as well as listening to music. His family affectionately referred to him as Big William, Hank, Bohannon, Cowboy and JR. He was a die hard Cowboy fan.

In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his siblings; Barbara Washington, Mary Barnes, Joseph Thomas  and John Henry Thomas.

He leaves to cherish his memory, brother's Charles Thomas (Patricia), George Thomas (Dee), James Thomas, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

His viewing will be held from 10am until time of service 11am, New Life (Dome), 9690 Shepherds Creek Pl, La Plata, MD 20646.  Interment Wesleyan Memorial Gardens, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
