Obituary

William Washington Smith, Jr. aka "Party" began his earthly journey on May 27,1939 to the late William Washington, Sr. and late Jeanette Franklin Smith in Washington D.C.  On Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in Port Tobacco, Maryland, William W. Smith, Jr., transitioned to eternal life.

To My Family and Friends:

It is my wish that you put your attention on the blessings of the moment. In the place of my obituary, I want to express my gratitude to each of you. I thank God for all of you. I gave thanks for the life I've lived. I gave you all my love and all of you returned it to me with happiness every minute for so many years. We need to look for the good and uplift our souls. There is so much to give thanks for. Release and let me go. I have so many things to see and to accomplish. Don't cry over me with tears, be happy that we shared so many years together. Be not burdened with time for sorrow, I wish the sunshine of tomorrow; my life has been full, I've savored much, good family, friends and good times.  My time has come, I must travel on alone. Grieve briefly and let go. Bless the memories we shared.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his father-in-law, George S. Thompson; three sisters-in-law, Tat Proctor, Barbara Thompson and Tammy Thompson and three brothers-in-law, Thomas C. Proctor, George Thompson and Jerry Thompson.
