William Roy Proctor (Jack) of Clinton, Maryland.
At age 81 William Roy Proctor departed this life on August 18, 2011 at the Charles County Nursing Home in La Plata Maryland.
Jack Proctor as he was more affectionately known was born July 9, 1930, to the late Roger and the late Era Proctor.
He liked playing cards and horseshoes. But most of all he enjoyed life, family and friends. He went to Prince Georges County Schools and was employed at Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) until he became disabled to work.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved son, William Derreck Proctor, three brothers, Tex, Snooky and Wallace, one sister, Mary Proctor and sister-in-law, Myrtle.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann with whom they were blessed with nine children, six daughters: Joyce, Chrissy (Eddie), Jackie (Jimmy), Marie (Kevin), Wanda (Darryl) and Sherri; two sons: Mark (Ann) and Jerry (Lina); eighteen grandchildren: Tyrone, Jason, Jermaine, Vicky, Lamont, Valerie, Matthews, Kalvin, Angie, Tony, Keyarna, Lorenzo, Andre`, Tianna, Monique, Mya, Jasmen and Justen; eight great grandchildren, one sister, Bernice and one brother, George (Janet), sisters-in-law, Hilda, Mary, Betty, Salome (Richard) and Barbara; brothers-in-law, Timmy (Frances), Jerome (Rosemary), Winfield (Tess) and Larry (Connie) and a host of relatives and friends.
His Viewing will be held from 10:00 am until time of Homegoing Service, 11:00 am, Thursday, August 25, 2011 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland.
