WILBERT LEE SWANN, AGE 66, OF FORT WASHINGTON, MARYLAND

Surrounded by his loving family, Wilbert Lee Swann departed this life and entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 12, 2021 at his residence in Fort Washington, Maryland.  Wilbert, most warmly known as Lee, was born on April 8, 1955 in Charles County, Maryland to the late Harold and Estelle Swann.

Lee grew up in Maryland and attended Charles County Public Schools.  He began his career in 1978 at the Swift Mailing Service Company in Brentwood, Maryland.  In 1983, he went to work for the General Services Administration as a Custodial Worker.  While there, he transferred to the Burn Room, and on to the Paint Shop located in the Old Executive Office Building.  In 2009, Lee transferred once again to the White House and worked there until 2011.

He loved his family and spent quality time with them.  They were his closest friends and confidants.  He was a cool dude that loved wearing his shades and hats.  Lee was known as the jokester in the family.  A few of his past-times were playing cards and shooting pool with the fellas.  His music  genre of choice was R&B (Oldies but Goodies).  Lee's favorite R&B song was "Spell" by Blue Magic.  Oh, let's not forget that he was a diehard Washington Football Team fan, formerly known as the Washington Redskins.

Lee leaves to cherish many memories his children, Thurone Lee Swann (Leslie), Jerel Wilson, Renee L. Hunter (Jerry) and Sharleeta Williams (Brandon); grandchildren, Taylor and Savannah Swann, Jeremiah, Jameer, Jerame and Jordin Hunter, and Lorenzo, Brielle and Landon Williams; as well as loving sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Lee is in our hearts always to stay ~

His Viewing will be, 10:00 am, until time of Service, 11:00 am, Monday, November, 22, 2021, in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.  Interment, Oak Grove Baptist Church, 11220 Holly Springs Road, Nanjemoy, Maryland 20662.
