WILBERT LEE KELTON (AGE 63) OF NANJEMOY, MARYLAND

On January 6, 2020, Wilbert Lee Kelton transitioned to his heaven after a lengthy stay at Genesis Healthcare Center in LaPlata, Maryland.

Wilbert was born November 15, 1956 to Betty Ross and the late Leroy Kelton. Wilbert was educated in theCharles County public school system. He worked as a Maintenance Professional for 25+ years before his health began to decline.

Wilbert loved his family, especially the kids. He wasthe uncle that wanted to teach you stuff that he didn't know...lol. Wilbert's first love was photography. He also loved fishing, crabbing and had a passion for putting model cars together. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan!

Wilbert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Hazel Gutrick, brothers, Charles, Gregory,Tyrone and Char'mon.  Wilbert leaves to cherish his memories a daughter, LaToya Sommers; grandchildren, Tywone, Dominique, and Derronia; great-grandchild, Amir; mother, Betty Ross; sisters, Sylvia, Jacqueline (William) and Michelle; sister-in-law, Angela; brother, Raymond (Denise); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

His Viewing will be, 10:00 am, until time of Service, 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 14, 2020, in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A.  Interment, Heritage Memorial Cemetery, 13472 Poplar Hill Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
