IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Viven
Erby
June 12, 1946 – October 3, 2017
The Obituary
Viven Erby, also known as Leroy, was born on June 12, 1946 in Marvell, Arkansas to Prince Ella Erby and Eugene Douglas Wildly. Leroy was called by GOD on the evening of October 3, 2017 at 6:40 p.m. quiet and peacefully in his home with his loving wife, both sons and his granddaughter by his side. Leroy spent his young life in Little Rock, Arkansas and Chicago, Illinois. Leroy later relocated to the Nation's Capital at the age of twelve to live with his mother and grandmother.
Leroy graduated from Eastern High School and served in the United States Army. Leroy and Frances met while working the summer youth program with the federal government, married in 1970 and cherished four children together: Vivian, Francesca, Larry and Leroy. They were married for forty seven years. They lived to be true Christians. As parents, they always lived to strive for the best no matter what was happening in their lives and in their children's lives. In 2007, Leroy retired from the federal government.
Leroy loved to fish, plant in his garden and run for exercise. He was known for telling jokes, loving his wife, caring for his family and his appearance to say the least. He was always so sharp when he got dressed.
Leroy leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife, Frances Erby; two daughters, Vivian and Francesca; two sons, Larry and Leroy; two sons-in-law, Phillip Chambers Sr., and Mario Marshall; one ex son-in-law, Joseph Hunter; nine grandchildren, Jovanni, Vivica, Tayler, Nala, Phillip Jr., Armani, Aalia, Ali, and Omarian; two sisters, Darlene McClary and Angela Wildy; two brothers, Adrien and Andre Wildy; two brothers-in-law Raymond Strange and Patrick Strange, Aunt Christabelle, two close cousins Rose Marie and Daniel Ford; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
