Virginia Dolores Randolph, 84 of Waldorf, Maryland formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee.
On August 4, 1934 in Aiken, South Carolina, Virginia Dolores Baylock was born to C.W. James and Ethel Justus.
Virginia, affectionately called Ginny by family and friends, was a Deaconess in the Trinity Seventh Day Adventist Church located in Knoxville, Tennessee. She enjoyed going to church, playing Bingo, playing Bid Whist, going on picnics with special friends and attending cookouts with family. She loved spending time with family. Virgina was once nominated for the "The Greatest Grandmother Award" and won. She believed that no one, especially children, should ever go hungry and would do whatever she could to help others.
She was a good natured, funny individual who loved people and was a joy to be around. Among her many friends were, Sister Louise Taylor, Ms. Darlene Owens, Elder Mary Harris and her cousin, Mrs. Jean Rapelyea.
Virginia was employed as a Nurses' Aide and School Custodian, however, her most important occupation was that of a Homemaker. Her favorite song was "Rough Side of the Mountain" by F.C. Barnes.
Early Saturday morning, December 29, 2018 at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center, La Plata, Maryland, Virginia D. Randolph transitioned to eternal life.
Virginia's memory will be cherished by her sons: Tyrone Baylock, Kevin Bell and Darrell Bell, daughters: Karen McGough and Zina King, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Viewing, 10:00 a.m. until time of Service, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 3150 Middletown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20603. Interment, Heritage Memorial Cemetery, 13472 Poplar Hill Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
