Anderson, Victoria Lynn Woods (age 61) of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
On Sunday June 30, 2013, Victoria Lynn Woods Anderson also known to family and friends as Mama Vickie departed her life at Southern Maryland Hospital. Victoria was born on February 1, 1952. She was the daughter of Oliver and Yvonne (deceased) Randall.
She attended Spingarn High School in Washington, DC, class of 1969. In 1972, she married Johnson Anderson III (deceased). In 1971, she worked as a ward clerk for Walter Reed Medical Facility. In 1976, she joined the Department of Transportation from which she retired from the position of Program Coordinator for the Civil Rights Division in June 2012. Throughout the duration of her 41 year tenure as a civil servant in the Federal Government, Victoria received many awards for exemplary performance and exceptional achievements, respectably. She loved to be around her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was truly all about family. Mama Vickie was the type of person who never turned anybody away. She was the type of person you could go to about anything at any time. She loved to cook, play her computer games, have weekend outings with her grandchildren, going to the casinos and living life to the fullest.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law (Kabuchi & Kia Anderson); daughter and son-in-law (Lynn & Charles Montgomery Jr.); grandchildren (Diamond Victoria Smith and Camille Olivia Montgomery); brothers Michael Boyce (Michelle), Aris Randall, Raymond Joseph Michael Colbert; sister, Alisa Moore (Jesse) and a host of other family members and friends.
