September 9, 2005 – July 1, 2023
Tommy Lee Grays, III of Olney, Maryland transitioned July 1, 2023.
On Saturday, July 1, 2023, heavens gates opened and received our beloved and charismatic, Tommy Lee Grays, III, known by all as "Trey". Trey was born on September 9, 2005 in Washington, DC to Rhonda Proctor and Tommy Grays, Jr. and was the first child for both parents. Trey was the oldest of 6 siblings.
Trey began his education at Forest Height Elementary and was educated in the Charles and Prince Georges County school systems, and in August of this year Trey would have entered his senior year at James Hubert Blake High school. Trey was excited about becoming a senior and was looking forward to graduating and going to college to pursue a degree in engineering.
Trey's trademark was his big million-dollar smile. Anyone that knew Trey knew he had the biggest most infectious smile that lit up any room when he walked in. Trey was extremely energetic and was a perfectionist even at an early age.
Trey enjoyed video gaming and had become a master at his hobby. He would spend hours playing and gaming. Trey loved fashion and it was always seen in his dress. He was always meticulously dressed. He also enjoyed basketball and football. But more than these things he enjoyed playing and spending time with his sisters and brothers. At an early age, Trey was reminded by his dad to "always protect our girls", making him a protector, always watching over his sisters and by his mothers side.
Trey also enjoyed playing with his brothers and teaching them new things, as he knew that they looked up to him. His trademark phrase for everything was "not too much on me". In School, Trey was known for not only being cool and goofy, but for being selfless, always putting his feelings to the side to make sure others were doing okay. Mac and Cheese was his all-time, anytime favorite food. It was never too early or too late for him to finish the whole pan of Mac and Cheese. In the water, Trey was a shark. He would spend the whole day in the pool or at the beach if he was allowed.
In such a short amount of time, Trey touched so many lives. He will forever be loved and remembered by his parents, Rhonda Proctor and Tommy Grays, Jr.; Sisters Tinia Desera, Amani LeeAnn, Alaya LeeAnette, brothers Khai Zion, and Tristan Lee; Grandparents Olga Jean and Tommy Grays, Sr, Carla Proctor, and Ronald and Felicia White; Step-mother Brittany Hall, and his best friend Marcus Newman-Sharpe. Trey was proceeded in death by an aunt, Renee Dorsey. Trey will also be remembered by a host of Aunts, Uncles, other relatives.
