Timothy Saxton Carter (Age 49) of La Plata, Maryland

Timmy entered this world on March 25, 1971 as the 12th child born to Mary and Robert Carter, Sr.

Timmy was a lifelong resident of Charles County and was educated in the Charles County public school system. Upon leaving school he started working with the family business, Carter & Sons and Newtown Concrete Services. Upon leaving the family business, Timmy established his own company and continued to work in the construction field until he became incapable of any strenuous activity.

Affectionately known as "Big Tim," he was very close to his family and friends, always entertaining and selflessly jovial even during his illness. Timmy loved going to the casinos, playing cards, shooting pool, watching the Washington football team games and most of all his music, Old School, R&B, Old Southern Soul, and dancing. He had great moves for a big man.

Timmy's pride and joy was his son Travis. There was an unbreakable bond between them, mutual love, and support. Timmy embraced fatherhood beyond all expectations. The bond between Timmy and Travis will stay unbroken.

On December 14, 2020 Timmy Carter departed from this world and accepted his eternal invitation into heaven. He survived by his son Travis Stewart, six sisters Amy Barnes (Charles Jute), Deborah Thomas (Calvin) Sheila Clark (Kit), Lisa Carter (Roscoe Proctor), Pamela Simms (Bradley) and Cherry Fluker (Mike) and five brothers Conrad (Diane Wade) Robbie (Lillian), Jerome, Marty (Denise), Thaxton (Julia) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Timmy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Theodore, Sr. and Mary Martha Louise Carter, grandparents, Joseph K. and Mary Louise Rosier and George, Sr., Bertha Carter and one sister-in-law, Lisa Carter.

His Viewing will be, 9:00 am, until Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.  Interment, Sacred Heart Church Cemetery.
