GARLIC, THEODORE M. (AGE 66) OF CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD Theodore Mcdonald Garlic, the fifth of eleven children born to the late Robert N. Garlic, Sr. and Mary E. Garlic of Washington, D.C., entered this life on July 11, 1944. He quietly departed this life on Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Future Care Rehabilitation Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Theodore received his education from the D.C. Public Schools and was a long term employee of the Department of Housing. Upon accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, Theodore became a member at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. D. Lee Owens. After a brief separation from church fellowship, he rededicated his life to the Lord and united with Kingdom Covenant Church. As his health began to fail, Theodore spent the majority of his time at work or at home. He retired from the Department of Housing in April 2010. Theodore was very devoted to and greatly loved by his family. His sense of humor made it hard to be sad when he was around. He spent much of his time caring for his children and grandson as a single parent. During his last months, he spent much of his time reading and listening to the Scriptures. He enjoyed talking about the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memory: four children, Victoria Faunteroy, Theron Brown, Karisma Garlic, Theodore Garlic, Jr.; two grandchildren, Nash Faunteroy and Javen Sorto; three brothers, Robert Garlic, Jr., Richard Garlic (Joann), and George Garlic; seven sisters, Gloria Easter, Carol Williams, Sandra Brown, Jacqueline Jegels, Barbara Stafford, Bessie Jones (Arthur), and Doreen Brown (Mark); nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. His services were held on Saturday, November 27th in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, PA, 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, MD 20640. Interment Heritage Memorial Cemetery.
