Tamil Nadu (Person) Armah (43) of Gaithersburg, Maryland

Tamil N. Person Armah, was born November 8, 1976 in Statesville, North Carolina to Reverend Alexander Person, Jr. and Tommie Cobb Person.   She grew up in a Christian home and accepted Christ at the age of six at the Pineville AME Zion Church where her dad was pastor in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Her dad later joined the United States Air Force and Tamil grew up in several different states and countries around the world. She graduated from Liberty High School, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Tamil went on to receive a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and married Omega Armah. They are the parents of three daughters and resides in Gaithersburg, Maryland. In 2017, Tamil also received an Executive Master's degree (EMBA) from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland.

Tamil had a very successful career in politics and law. She was employed by three prestigious Washington-based law firms before joining Political Action Committee Outsourcing (PAC) of Alexandria, Virginia. Her greatest accomplishment there was getting promoted to the top position of President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Tamil was an avid reader and never missed her book club meetings. She also enjoyed travel and adventure, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her girls baking mac and cheese, which was the family's favorite dish.  Her immediate family in Maryland provided a special joy and support. Tamil was fun loving and always saw the best in other people.

Tamil quietly stepped into eternity on April 6, 2020. She leaves the following to cherish her memory: Omega and her three daughters, Alexis, Simone and Gabrielle; two loving parents; one brother, Alexander Person, III (Erin) of Denver, Colorado; one Niece, Ava Person and one nephew, Ty Alexander Person, also of Denver; three uncles, seven aunts, many cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
