Shirley Marie Thompson, 47 of Lexington Park, Maryland

Shirley Marie Thompson was born January 19, 1973 in Washington D.C. to William Thompson and Juanita Thompson. She entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 29, 2020.

Shirley spent time in Washington D.C. and Prince Georges County but grew up mostly in Good ole Charles County Maryland where she started and raised her family. Anyone who knew Shirley knew she loved to spend time with her family and friends playing cards, going to bingo and celebrating special occasions and holidays. She was the type to always take people in her heart and home, helping to watch and raise many children over the years.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, William and Juanita Thompson; sisters, Lisa Proctor Brooks and Robin Proctor Bowman and her beloved nephew, Michael Key Jr.

Shirley leaves to cherish fond memories: three daughters, Latara Key (Calvin), Rhonda Thompson and Brittany Burns; beloved grandsons, Zah'yon Cunningham and Jamil Mosby; two sisters, Pamela Key (Michael Sr.) and Queen Champion; brothers-in-law, George Brooks and Maurice Bowman Sr.; longtime companion, Rodney Wright; step father, John Robbie Proctor and a host of family, extended family, friends and loved ones.
