Spriggs, Shirley Ann, Age 76, of Waldorf, Maryland.

On Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Hospice House of Charles County in Waldorf, Maryland, Shirley Ann Spriggs slipped away into the arms of God.

In addition to her parents, James Wardell Goldring and Gertrude Ann Coates Smallwood, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, George "Francis" Spriggs; sister, Anna Hurd and brothers, Paul and Benjamin Coates.

The mother of Francis, Lorenza, Brenda, David and Barbara; seven grandchildren, Allen, Steven, Darnell, Montisha, Tyrone, Atraya and Shray; six great-grandchildren, Brianna, Joshua, Anthony, Jarbari, Nicole and Daija; one sister, Mary Lyles.

Viewing, 10am until Mass of Christian Burial, 11am, Friday, April 25, 2014 at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 100 Village Street, Waldorf, Maryland 20602. Interment, St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery, 4590 St. Joseph's Way, Pomfret, Maryland 20675.
