Shirley Lucille (Jones) Rosier, 76 of Indian Head, Maryland.

Shirley Lucille Rosier transitioned to eternal life on Wednesday November 15th, 2017 at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Center in LaPlata, Maryland.

Shirley, Known as "Momma " to most, was born June 16, 1941, to the late Ada Jones and Harry Young in Washington, DC.

Shirley was baptized at an early age at Zion Baptist Church. She graduated from Bel Alton High School in 1960. She was employed at the F. B. Gwynn Center for Special Needs Children and was the Co-Owner of   Rosier's Bus Company. Shirley loved traveling and spending time at Casinos with her Husband & Family. She also enjoyed playing bingo, playing the lotto, and watching her favorite game show family feud with host Steve Harvey. She was a die-hard Redskins fan

She also enjoyed the company of her grand/great grand children Tyreik, Monya', Javon, and Jameese who would spend weekends and breaks from school with her and visits from special grandkids John Yates, Justin Waters, Damien Brown, Adam Lawson, Felicia Lewis, and Fabian Queen.

On October 22, 1960 Shirley was united in marriage to James L Rosier Sr. and together they conceived 3 children.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter Cheryl Rosier-Gray.

Momma leaves to cherish her memory  two children, Cynthia  Rosier-Johnson , James Rosier Jr, & Special sons Dwayne Gray and  Mike Proctor;  Special daughter Joy Sheff, and Daughter in-law Teresa Rosier ; 12 grandkids Antwan Rosier, Nikki King, James L Rosier 3rd (Tarsheona Rosier), Rydricka Rosier, Delandre Rosier, James (Trey) Gray (Kylie Gray), Delonte' (Tez) Gray, Jamal, Tyricka Rosier-Barrett (Booka) Rosier, Javon Rosier, Jayla Rosier, Jalynn Rosier; 28 Great-Grandkids and a host of family and friends.

Viewing, 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 24, 2017 in the chapel of Thornton Funeral Home P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.  Interment Friday, November 24, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
