Shirley Ann Proctor

Shirley Ann Proctor was born to the late Morris and Agnes Proctor May 4, 1939. She peacefully transitioned in her home on March 5, 2026.

Shirley grew up on a farming Indian Head, Maryland with her parents and siblin􀀂, where there was lots of live and fun. she attended Charles County School System. On September 28, 1963 Shirley married William Roy Proctor. Shirley was a stay at home mom and took care of her children and later her grandchildren. She deeply loved her family and cherished every moment spent with her children grandchildren and great­grandchildren. A few of Shirley's favorite thin􀀂 were playing cards, watching her favorite soap opera Young and The Restless and also the life Time 1V shows.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; Morris and Agnes Proctor, Husband; William Roy Proctor "Jack", Long time Companion; John Louis Proctor "Chubby''. Two sisters; Barbara Proctor, Salome Savoy and four children; McKinley Proctor, Joyce Thompson, Mark Proctor and Derrick Proctor.

She leaves to cherish in her memory, her two brothers; Larry and Timmy Proctor, Two sisters; Elizabeth Bowman and Mary Neal. One son; Jerry and (Lina) Proctor. Five daughters; Chrissy Proctor and (Eddie) Savoy, Jackie and (Jimmy) Savoy, Marie Proctor and (Kevin) Savoy, Wanda and (Darryl Butler and Sherri Proctor. Also she leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren.

Her Spirit will live on in every shared story, every echo of laughter, and every act of love inspired by her example. We will forever carry her in our hearts.

Friends may visit with the family Monday, March 16, 2026 from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 11:00 am in The Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, 3439 Livingston Road Indian Head, MD 20640.

 Interment immediately to follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery, Pomfret, MD.
