Washington, Sheila Theresa Allen (Age 60) of Accokeek, Maryland.

Sheila was born in Washington, DC on March 2, 1955. She passed away peacefully on August 30, 2015 at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.

Sheila was educated in the Prince George's County Public School System and graduated from Friendly High School in June 1972. After graduating Sheila worked for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. On September 7, 1979 Sheila answered the call to duty and joined the army, where she served as an Administrative Specialist for 5 years and 3 months. She received several
service and commendation awards. She was honorably discharged on August 2, 1985. After being discharged from the military, Sheila worked at the State Department as a contractor in the IT Field.

She was also a member of the American Legion Post #257 in Clinton, MD.

Left to cherish many fond memories are her husband, Malcolm Lee Washington, two step- daughters Nakeisha and Tonya Washington, mother, Mary E. Allen, two brothers, Sylvester and Charles Allen, one sister, Marion Allen Ware, one uncle, Jarriet Washington (Barbara), two godsons, Charles Allen, Jr. and Diveto Allen and a host of nieces and nephews, sister friends, Marcia Johnson, Jackie Baker & Crystal Haley.

Visitation to be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 am at the Thornton Funeral Home, Pomonkey, MD. Service will be held at 12:00 pm at the St. Mary's Catholic Church Parish, 13401 Piscataway Road, Clinton, MD. Interment will follow
at Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
