Sharon Yvonne Bivens, 66, of Accokeek, Maryland, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025, in
Prince George's County.

Born in North Carolina in 1958 to James and Gwendolyn Moore, Sharon was the beloved eldest sibling to her brothers, James and Chuck. She met the love of her life, Mark Bivens, while he was DJ'ing at a  local dance club in Virginia. Their connection was instant, and just six months later, they were  married. In 1987 they welcomed their only son, Mark Cameron Bivens II.

Sharon will be remembered for her radiant smile that could light up any room, her infectious laugh, and her unwavering support of her family and friends. Though her time with us was far too short,  the love and joy she shared will remain forever in our hearts. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Mark, and her father, James.

She is survived by her son, Mark; daughter-in-law, Jaclyn; and her treasured granddaughter, Aurora; her mother, Gwendolyn; her brother Chuck and his husband, Carl; her brother James, his wife Paula, and their daughters, Kayla and Jessica; and many extended family members and lifelong friends.
