Celebrating The Life of Seth Severus Sneed
On Monday, October 3, 2016, Seth Severus Sneed journeyed home to be with the Lord. Seth S. Sneed was born to the late Bernice Sneed McClary and Seth Gambrel on June 28, 1937. Seth was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by Bernice Sneed McClary and Theophylus McClary Sr. (both deceased) along with his brothers, Theophylus McClary Jr.(deceased) and Shean McClary.
Seth attended Westinghouse High School where he played the tuba for the high school marching band. He also sang with a musical group called the Tempo's. After high school he joined the Marine Corp in 1957 where he served until 1961. Seth worked at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, D.C. he was also a Taxi cab driver in the Washington D.C area for over 30 years and worked for various Federal government agencies before retiring from the United States Postal Service.
Seth is survived by his daughters, Nicole Camille Sneed and Monique Bernice Adams, (and her husband Mark), son, Thomas E. Wooden Jr. (and his wife Vivian), brother, Shean McClary, mother-in-law, Rebecca Lacey Oduba, his grandchildren, Nathan C. Adams, Seth J. Adams, Christina M. Adams, Gabriella M. Harvey and Kyle A. Wooden. Seth is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, his dear friend, Mary Swann and other family and friends.
Seth is most known for his generosity, love of music, reading, family and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He will truly be missed. Seth will live in our hearts forever.
