Queen, Sarah Rebecca Simms (Age 88) of Spring Hill, Maryland.

Early Sunday morning, June 29, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter in Indian Head, Maryland, Sarah Rebecca Simms Queen transitioned to eternal life.

Daughter of the late Isaac and Katie Simms, wife of the late Peter Ralph Queen, Sr., leaves to cherish many memories with her children, Peter Ralph Queen, Jr., Cynthia Smallwood, Rebecca "Becky" Gomes, Philomena Queen, Theodore "Teddy" Queen, Sarah "Bunny" Allen and Samuel Blackwell, Jr. Also surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, a brother, William "Willie" Simms, two sisters-in-law, Bernice and Eleanor Simms, other relatives and friends.

Viewing, 5pm to 7pm with Prayer Service at 6pm, Friday, July 4, 2014 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland and on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 9am until 10:30am, Mass of Christian Burial, 11am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland. Interment, Church Cemetery.
