Obituary
Suddenly on Thursday, August 24, 2017, Sandy "Rock" Jackson transitioned to eternal rest at the MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, Maryland.
Rock, as he was more affectionately known, was born in Brooklyn, New York on Wednesday, November 20, 1963, to Howard "BoBo" Jackson and the late Lena Jackson.
Rock attended elementary, secondary and high school in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from High School Rock enlisted into the United States Air Force on November 13, 1981 and after serving 21 years, 4 months and 10 days, he retired from Andrews Air Force Base on August 31, 2002. Rock continued his career in the federal government upon retirement with the NGA (National Geospatial Intelligence Agency).
He united in marriage and two children were born to this union – JaLena R. Jackson on April 26, 1994 (named after her maternal and paternal grandmothers) and Kiyanna R. Jackson (named by her older sister) on August 4, 2000.
In addition to his mother, Rock was preceded in death by his sister, Nadine Jackson.
He leaves to cherish his memory two children, JaLena Renee Jackson and Kiyanna Renee Jackson; his father, Howard "BoBo" Jackson; nephews, James and Stephen Moultrie and other beloved nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
