Lee, Ruth (Age 80) of Port Royal,Virginia

Ruth Lee, daughter of the late Harry Latane Lee Sr. and Elsie Lee, transitioned peacefully on November 10, 2020 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Fredericksburg Va.

Ruth was born on December 7 ^th 1939 in Essex County, VA. She received her education in the Essex County Public school system and received her diploma at Essex County High School in Tappahannock, Va. She moved to New Jersey and worked at Johnson and Johnson before moving back to Virginia in 1996. Ruth was a loving, funny, charismatic, and giving woman. She loved to give gifts – from home made pillows to bed sheets she purchased from her favorite shopping networks, QVC or HSN. She also gave the gift of encouraging words, love, and A LOT of laughter. She spent her free time chatting with and enjoying her family's company as well as completing jigsaw puzzles and fill-in word puzzles. She also enjoyed spending time with her only great grandson, Omari, who she always said she was so proud of. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she was faithful in Sunday School; she loved it and The Lord. She developed many meaningful relationships through her church family including Cassandra Lee Chapman and Minister Marshal. Cassandra has a special place in Ruth's heart. She is a great friend and has been very helping and loving. Ruth considered Minister Marshal a friend and trustworthy advisor when she needed a shoulder to lean on for advice concerning her heath.

She is preceded in death by her parents Harry Latane Lee Sr. and Elsie Lee, husband Harry Norman, five brothers: Robert Myers, William Lee, Arthur Myers, Richard Lee, and Harry Lee, one sister: Dorothy Ann Lee, two sisters-in-law: Lorraine Myers and Eula Myers.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Traci (Damian), four grandchildren: Keith, Keyana (Porsha), Kyaer, and Imani, one great grandson: Omari, two sisters: Elsie (Leon) and Fannie Lee, two brothers: James Myers and Roger Lee, two sisters-in-law: Nancy Myers and Sherry Lee, best friend Melanie Lee, and a HOST of loving of nieces and nephews.

Her viewing will be held from 10:30am until time of graveside service 11:00am, Cemetery, Ebenezer Baptist Church, 3207 Quarter Hill Road, Supply, VA 22436.  Interment Church Cemetery.
