Obituary

Ruth Lucille Bean (Toote), daughter of Moses and Ruth Ford, peacefully departed this life on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Fort Washington Health Center in Fort Washington, Maryland. Ruth was born on December 27, 1923 in Bel Alton, Maryland. She became the devoted wife to Francis Bean and loving mother to Mary and Francis Bean, Jr.

Ruth was a housewife and enjoyed gardening, watching and discussing soap operas (All My Children and General Hospital). She also liked going to the park and other outings. She especially loved preparing family meals namely, mixed greens and her deliciously famous yeast biscuits. She reserved her quiet time to do fill-it-in puzzles.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Moses Ford, her husband, Francis Bean, son, Francis Bean, Jr. and siblings, Frances, Agnes, Joseph and John Ford, Mary Dorsey and Rosalie Collins.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Mary Shefton, son-in-law, William Shefton, grandson, Garrett Shefton, sister, Elizabeth Miles and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Viewing 10:00am until Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00am, Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church Chapel Point, 8855 Chapel Point Road, Port Tobacco, Maryland 20677. Interment, Church Cemetery.
