Rose Lee (Posey) Rosier, 78 of Washington, D.C.

Rose transitioned from this life to eternal life on August 4, 2021 at the United Medical Center in Washington, DC. God said it's time for my child to rest now. Rose was born on November 1, 1942 in Charles County, Maryland to the late William Edward and Zelda Posey. She was educated in the Charles County Public School system.

Rose will be reunited with her husband William Rosier, son Timothy Rosier, and daughter Syrena Posey, two brothers James and Edward Posey, two sisters Jeannette and Elaine Posey, and one grandchild Rose Tobey. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in LaPlata, Maryland. She worked for over fifty-five years until her health would no longer allow her to work. Her last employment was as a caretaker. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren; she loved cooking for them and showing how much she loved them. She loved traveling, shopping and going to the casino. She was an outgoing Beautiful Person, who lived and loved life to the fullest.

Rose leaves to cherish her memory: three sons - Rodney Posey (wife Wenona), Dewayne Posey and William Rosier Jr.; two daughters - Mary Rosier aka Earlene and Tracy Smith (husband Charles); thirteen grandchildren - Stanley Brown, Rodney Posey Jr., Charles Posey (wife Curtrice), Timothy Cross, Redeemed Posey, Tranita Palmer (husband Andrew), Gary Roberson Jr., Maurice Roberson (wife Jordan), Shelly Wade, Jurward Posey Riley, Demetric Middleton (wife Blencia), Sheimika Queen (husband Elroy), and Shakeitta Thompson (husband James); three sisters

Viewing, 10:00 a.m. until time of the Celebration of Life, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 12, 2021 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.  Interment, immediately following the Service at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Nanjemoy, Maryland 20662.
