Memorial Tribute

Rose Marie Adams, affectionately known as "Marie", was born April 29, 1944 in, Indian Head, Maryland, to Catherine Davis Gladden and Johnny Dodson, whom both preceded her in death.  She suddenly departed this earthly life on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at her residence in Capitol Heights, Maryland.

Marie attended school and graduated from the Prince George's County Public School system.  She later returned to and retired from the Prince George's County Public Schools system as an instructor.

Marie bore four children in total, with three from her first marriage, with Louis Medley, Sr.  After a granted divorce, she later found the love of her life and became the wife of Randolph Adams. Both husbands preceded her in death.

Preceding her in death also, are her daughter, Eugenia Maria Medley, one grandson, Wendell Lowell Davis, Jr., one brother, James I. Gladden, and step-father, Raphael Gladden.

Marie will be missed by many and in her physical absence, she leaves to cherish her precious memory, her children, Wendell Lowell Davis, Sr., Patricia Ann Medley, and Louis McKinley Medley, Jr.; five grandchildren, LaKeyta Blake (Damond), Dontrell Watson, Sr., Candice Medley (George Sr.), Louis McKinley Medley, III, and Troy Medley; great-grandchildren, Jakiya Medley, Jakayla Kennedy, George Wilkerson, Jr., Dontrell Watson, Jr., Jayla Watson, Janiya Watson, Christina Pixley, and Jasauyd Jennings; step-mother, Erma Dodson; brothers, Andrew Davis, Gregory Dodson (Tuesday), and John Dodson (Eloise); sisters, Joyce Colby, Janice Brooks, and Audrey Dodson; two sisters in–law, Joyce Gladden and Vanessa Taylor; one aunt, Anna Davis; niece, Alisa Gladden-Brown; great-nieces Kenyota Gladden and Mya Wilson; and nephew Deangelo Wilson, Jr.; and a host of relatives, extended family and friends that loved her immensely and will miss her dearly.

Viewing, 10:00 am until time of service, 11:00 am, Friday, June 30, 2017 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland.  Interment, Cedar Hill Cemetery, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, Maryland 20746.
