Rosa Lee Walton, 77 of Upper Marlboro, Maryland (formerly of Washington, DC and Clairton, Pennsylvania).
Rosa Lee Walton was born on April 29, 1944 to Ernest Everett Wesson and Thelma Louise (Johnson) Wesson. Her father worked for the United States Steel Corporation and her mother was a homemaker.
In 1962, Rosa Lee graduated from Clairton High School in Clairton, Pennsylvania. After relocating to Washington, DC, she attended the University of the District of Columbia.
She began her storied federal career at the Small Business Administration. During her 40 years in the federal service, Rosa Lee worked for the US Department of Labor, the US Department of Treasury and the US Department of Health & Human Services.
While working as a Senior Project Manager/Interior Designer for the US Department of Health & Human Services, Rosa Lee founded a highly successful custom gift service.
After retirement, Rosa Lee enjoyed travelling, cooking, spending time with family and friends, interior decorating, crafting and loving her role as grandmother.
Her grandson Daniel and granddaughter Jillian were her greatest legacy and gift to the world.
Later in life, Rosa Lee accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Everett Wesson and Thelma Louise (Johnson) Wesson, siblings, Charles, Ernest Jr., William, Edward, Robert, Mattie and Alice.
She was the beloved mother of Tina Wesson-Tolbert (Michael) and Tracy (Walton) Ellerbe (Hubert); doting grandmother of Daniel Edward and Jillian Noelle-Leigh. Also surviving are a host of relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
