Ronald Tucker was born on August 31st, 1960, in the city of Brooklyn, New York. He passed away unexpectedly on July 13th, 2023, in Prince George's County, Maryland.
Ronald was a lover of art, photography, and martial arts. He had a desire to make a difference and joined the marines after graduating high school. He landed a position working with the chaplaincy, where his responsibilities were focused on administration. After serving in the military, he worked in the hospitality industry, government, and private sector.
With his many years of martial arts training, he holds a fifth-degree black belt. He was a mentor and teacher for youth and adults alike. He was a dedicated instructor and trained his children to move through the ranks. He was widely respected by his colleagues for his skillset.
Ronald was a very talented artist. He was a skilled photographer, often capturing moments that are still cherished today. An artist in his own right – He had a knack for creating. He enjoyed painting, drawing and was a skilled sewer. He often, created clothing and karate uniforms for students and fellow instructors.
He married his wife, Lillian Tucker on February 12th, 1997, and is also survived by his twin daughters: Asia Tucker and Ayanna Tucker and his son, Lovell Elliott. He also leaves to mourn his mother Gladys Sampson, his siblings Lawrence Tucker (Karen Tucker), Cedric Tucker (Sybil Tucker), Shawn Sampson and a host of family and friends.
Ronald was a fun-loving, bright spark in the world. He loved to laugh and had an amazing sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by many. He leaves to be remembered and acknowledged as a loving husband, father, brother and an esteemed and respected friend, colleague and servant to his country.

Friends may visit with the family Thursday, August 31st from 9:30 am until time of funeral service at 10:30 am in The Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, 3439 Livingston Road Indian Head, MD. Interment immediately to follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Cheltenham, MD.
