Robin Marie Gray (Doss) was born February 4, 1963 to the late Waunita Ann Maphis (Doss). On Monday December 26, 2016 Robin peacefully entered into eternal rest at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC surrounded by her family.

Robin was the third of five children and grew up in the Prince George's County area. She graduated from Central Senior High School in Capitol Heights, MD. She worked for Children's Hospital in Washington, DC, in various positions for 18 years until her illness.

Robin was blessed with the love of her life Janea. She taught her daughter how to love, be honest, to work hard and family values. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart. She would play, laugh, take lots of photos and do silly things with them like a loving grandmother does.

She also had a passion of fixing hair, along with working full time she attended and graduated from Potomac Academy School of Cosmetology. We will forever remember her being the "Queen" of push and finger waves. Let's not forget her cornrows! Ms. Multi-Talented also had a passion for cooking and baking cakes. She attended the Art Institute of Washington majoring in Culinary Art. You would leave her home with a fresh hairdo and a professionally made cake.

She loved being in the presence of people and spending time with her family and friends. Her home was a gathering place for so many and she welcomed everyone. She fished and vacationed often to Deep Creek and Myrtle Beach. We all knew she loved eating crabs.

There are no words that can express how much you were loved or how much we miss you. She leaves fond memories to be cherished by her daughter Janea Washington and step-son Erik Gray Jr. Her grandchildren Kharron Love and Giselle Washington - Aunts that raised her: Helen Maphis and Jean McCall - Siblings: James Maphis, Darlene (Marcus) Smith; Rodney (Stephanie) Doss; Steven (Lakia) Doss; Timothy Doss; Anthony "Tony" Jones and a host of nephews, family and friends.
