IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Anderson
Neblett
August 23, 1945 – October 7, 2019
ROBERT ANDERSON NEBLETT, SR. (AGE 74) OF TEMPLE HILLS, MARYLAND.
God has a magnificent way of spreading His treasures throughout His universe, and so it was on August 23, 1945 Robert Anderson Neblett Sr. "Peter" was born. Peter, as he was affectionately known to his family and friends was born in Kenbridge, Virginia, to the late James A. and Bertha S. Neblett.
Peter graduated from East End High School in South Hill, VA in 1964. Peter married the love of his life Betty King on May 9, 1964. Peter and Betty created a beautiful life together. On September 23rd and June 29th respectively, he welcomed his beautiful children Sironia and Robert Jr., who were the most important part of his life. He was a devoted husband and father.
Peter retired from Sears, Roebuck and Company after more than 40 years of committed employment. He was a very active member of Felix Lodge #3 for 50 years. As a member of Felix Lodge No. 3, Peter enjoyed serving the community and playing softball.
Being family oriented, Peter was a very compassionate man who was longsuffering and believed in family values. A mechanic by trade, Peter was capable of fixing things beyond the use of his hands - a problem solver. He was very witty and sharp, becoming a mentor for young and older men alike. You would often find him behind a card table playing bid whist while watching his beloved Redskins. Two interesting facts about him, Peter LOVED to eat fried chicken and he loved to save a dollar!
Robert accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age. He was baptized at Flat Rock Baptist Church in Kenbridge, Virginia. On Monday, October 7, 2019, God in his infinite wisdom called him home. A loving and caring person who was loved by all that graced his presence, we are thankful that we had the opportunity to have him touch our lives.
He was preceded in death by his Father (James A. Neblett) his mother (Bertha S. Neblett), Sisters( Nannie S. Neblett- Hawthorne and Viola Neblett - Debose).
