Robert "JJ" William Fenwick was born May 15, 1957 in La Plata Maryland, to Lucille Hicks and the late James S. Barber. He departed his life peacefully on May 17, 2017, at the Hospice House of Charles County in Waldorf Maryland.

JJ as he was more affectionately called, was very well known in the Charles County area and was a landscaper by trade.

In addition to his father, JJ was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dudley and Carrie Fenwick and Ben and Loretta Barber, brothers, James W. Fenwick and Brian Thompson, aunts, Deloris Brawner, Doris Ann Fenwick and Annie Briscoe, uncles, Larry Fenwick, Harold Fenwick, Edward Fenwick, and  Johnny Fenwick.

JJ is survived by his mother, Lucille Hicks, brothers, Bobby Duckett, Cecil Thompson, Buckey Davis, James S. Barber Jr. and Talley Briscoe; sisters,  Frances Carol, Cece Davis, Marie Freeman, Wanda Barber and Tanina Lyles; sister-in-law, Brenda Fenwick; aunts, Sarah Collins, Loretta Barbour, Nancy Swann, Mary Mason, Ruth A. Barbour and Vivian Barbour; uncles, Mac Fenwick, Lawerence Fenwick, John B. Barbour, Stephen Barbour and Donnie Barbour, nieces, Stephanie Proctor, Stacy Frye and Lauren Fenwick  and a host of more nieces, nephews, James W. Fenwick Jr., Damine Fenwick Sr., Troy Fenwick and a host of more nephews, great nieces, Cheyenne Fenwick, Cierra Fenwick, Brianna Fenwick and Amera Fenwick, great nephews, Damine Fenwick Jr., Devin Fenwick, and Christian Fenwick. JJ is also survived by his longtime partner, Mary Savoy .

Viewing, 10:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 am, Thursday, June 1, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph's Way, Pomfret, Maryland 20675.  Interment, St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery, Pomfret, Maryland.
