Profile of Life

Rephael Scott was born on December 1, 1997, in Washington DC and departed this life on December 3, 2022 at the age of Twenty-Five.

He was born to Clayton Edward Scott Sr. and the late Beverly Ann Riley-Scott.

Rephael was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Ann Riley-Scott, four aunts, Margaret Patterson, Theresa Riley, Karen Scott, and Louise Scott, one uncle, James Scott.

He was educated in Washington DC Public Schools where he excelled academically and received a 4-year scholarship to Shaw University.

He loved to build things with Legos and built the STARSHIP ENTERPRISE. He also loved to draw, play video games, musical instruments, ski, and he loved adventures.  During his time in high school, he was an interim in the Broadcasting class and wanted to be a TV host. He was also on the wresting team and the captain of the baseball team.

At Shaw University he was on the baseball team and soccer team.  His favorite snack was Zebra cakes, and everyone was his best friend.

Although he faced many life challenges in his personal life, Raphael was a gifted individual.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Clayton Edward Scott Sr., seven sisters, Carla Wallace (Hugh), Nicole Motley (King III), Tomeka and Tasha Scott, Meredith, Mary, and Pauline Holsinger; two brothers, Clayton Jr. (Laticia) and Jerome Scott (Tiffany), two aunts, Lois White and Marie Scott-Dyson (Arthur), four uncles, Joseph Scott, Major Scott, Alphonzo Riley (Pamela) and Moses Scott; nieces and nephews: Makayla, King IV, Malachi, Xazier, Rylee, Horacio, Raynard, Olivia, Jaylah, Marie, Tyson and Max; his favorite cousins;  Jasmyne and Brandon Scott and a host of family and friends.

Viewing, Tuesday, December 27, 2022, 10:00 a.m. until time of the Life Celebration, 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.
