Easter, Rennie Lee, Jr. (Age 62) of Oxon Hill, Maryland

Rennie Lee Easter, Jr. (Junie) entered this life on July 24, 1958 and suddenly departed on January 24, 2021.

He was the second of three children born to Rennie Lee Easter, Sr. and Gloria E. (Garlic) Easter of Washington, D.C.   Junie was educated in the Public schools of Washington, D.C. and Prince Georges County Md.  He later received a Certificate of Training from the Automotive Service Mechanic School in Washington, D.C.

Rennie was married to Patricia Ann Posey and from this union was born five children: Rennie III, Crystal, Jerome, Albert, and Justin.  He was later blessed with five grandchildren whom he loved very much.  He accepted Christ and was baptized at Southern Baptist Church under Pastor Charles H. Doom, Jr.  (Who is now Bishop Charles H. Doom, Jr.)

He was a man of many jobs.  He has worked in the positions of; Stock Clerk, Laborer, Maintenance, Security, Mechanic helper, Moving and Transfer helper.  His favorite occupation was repairing automobiles of older models which he could do on his own time.

He was well known in the community, a willing helper, and had many friends.  He loved the family gatherings, and everyone knew when he arrived because they could hear him laughing behind his cousin Vinnie who he usually travelled with.

Preceded in death by his wife Patricia, and his youngest child Justin, he leaves to cherish his memory: His Mother Gloria Easter, Son Rennie, III (Charmaine), Daughter Crystal, Son Jerome, Son Albert(Valynda), Grandsons: Marcus, Markell and Aiden, Granddaughters,  Vashaila, and Carren;  Sisters: G. Renee(Kenneth),  Anita, Veronica Easter, Alycia Hill,  Aunts; Carol, Barbara, Bessie, Doreen(Mark) Uncle Richard(Joanne), Albert(Connie),  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

His viewing will be held from 10:00am until time of service 11:00am, Tuesday, February 2, 2021, Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.
