Raymond was born on August 27, 1962 to the late Raymond M. Thompson Sr. and Carrie E. (Proctor) Thompson.

Raymond was gainfully self-employed for many years until his health began to fail.

Raymond was preceded in death by his stepfather, James Hoe; two nephews, Joshua Jones and Jerome Swann.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his three daughters, Belinda, Marie and Carrie; two grandchildren, Jashawn and Raelle; five sisters, Gloria, Debbie (Henry), Mary (Allen), Donna (James) and Alonda; two brothers, James and Donald (Gloria) his longtime companion of over thirty- three years Margret Savoy along with many other relatives and friends.

Viewing, Tuesday August 13, 2019 10 a.m. until time of Service 11 a.m. in the chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.
