Raven Victoria Smith departed this life on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Genesis Waldorf Nursing Center in Waldorf, MD at the age of 74. God has picked a beautiful flower for his heavenly bouquet that has bloomed with the bright rays of sun and the nourishments of the rain.

Raven AKA (Vicky) was born to Louise Rebecca Wilkerson on October 12, 1947 in Prince George's County. She was the first born of three children. She enjoyed her favorite TV shows along with a good ole Western cowboy movie.  Family trips, spending time with her grandchildren, and last but not least shopping was how she kept her spirits high for so long. Raven truly enjoyed spending time with her family especially during the Christmas holidays.  She prided herself on always carrying herself with the purest heart and was always ready to support anyone who needed her in any way possible.

Raven was educated in MD Public Schools and graduated from Fairmont Heights High School. She also earned with an Associate's Degree in Computer Technology. She was employed as a Financial Analyst for the Housing Urban and Development government agency where she later retired after 30+ years of service.

Raven leaves to cherish her memories to two children; Robert (son), Arnicia (daughter-in law) and Chatney, (daughter) Hakeem (son-in-law). Four grandsons; Xavier (15), Branden (12yrs), Logan (12yrs), and Avery (2.5yrs), 2 siblings Patricia (sister) and Todd (brother), along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She loved them all so very deeply.

Friends may visit with the family Monday, October 10th from 11am until time of service 12noon at Thornton Funeral Home Chapel, located 3439 Livingston Road Indian Head, MD 20640.
