Obituary

Priscilla U. Savoy was born December 11, 1948, in Washington D. C.  She was the daughter of the late Clara Margaret Yates Savoy and James Bernard Savoy, Jr., and sister to the late Lillian Yates-Watson.  She was educated in the Charles County Maryland School System.  She graduated from Archbishop Neale High School in 1966, and went on to attend Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland where she earned a B.S. Degree in 1977.

While living in Baltimore, she was employed by Baltimore Gas and Electric for 29 years and engaged herself in the "BMORE" lifestyle and various community outreach endeavors.  Priscilla was also a member of the Baltimore Maryland Chapter of the NAACP, Pomonkey High School Alumni Association, St. Ignatius Catholic Church Chapel Point Maryland, American Legion Randolph Furey Unit #170 Ladies Auxiliary, Life Member of Morgan State University Alumni Association, and the Morgan State University Southern Maryland Alumni Chapter.  Her volunteer activities included tutoring GED students at the Lifelong Learning Center; helping seniors at La Plata's Clark Center; and collecting family history and coordinating family reunions.  Her happiest times were meeting with her Tuesday lunch bunch; watching TV soap operas; talking on the phone; traveling; reading romance novels; and eating (especially crabs).  Priscilla touched the lives of many people with her smile and trademark sensor of humor.

On Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton, Maryland, Priscilla U. Savoy transitioned to eternal life.

She leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Gloria;  one brother, Bernard (Diane); nephews, Arcadiao Watson (Demetrius); and Bernard F.
