PERVIS COLEMAN, (AGE 72) OF WASHINGTON, DC

On January 6, 1944 Pervis Coleman Jr. was born in Union, South Carolina, to the late Lizzie Ethel Suber- Coleman and the late Pervis Coleman Sr.

The Coleman family relocated to the Washington Metropolitan area where Pervis received his education in the D.C Public School system. In 1962 Pervis graduated from Spingarn/Phelps SHS, he then went on to be drafted into the US Military (Army), and while serving in the military he received the Parachutist Badge of honor. After Pervis's Military tour ended, he secured employment with ADT Alarm Systems, where he served as an Electronic Security Services Specialist for 45 years.

Before Pervis's health battles began he led an active independent life filled with photography, sports activities, travel, community service, and his commitment to being a part of the Prudence Lodge #27. Pervis served on several committees, and in many activities. In 1989 Pervis served in the position of Worshipful Master of the Prudence Lodge #27.

Pervis leaves to cherish his many memories, a daughter, Cynthia Antoinette, Son, David Maurice Coleman Sr., brother, Eddie V. Coleman (Elaine), sister, Carolyn E. Giles (Arvell), aunt, Hazel Suber (Spartanburg, SC), three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
