Pauline Agnes (Queen) Collins of Port Tobacco, MD, departed this life on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at UM Charles Regional Medical Center, La Plata, Md.  Pauline was born on September 10, 1941 in Port Tobacco, MD to the late William and Susie (Savoy) Queen.


She is preceded in death by her husband, William Collins, brother John (Jimmy) Queen, sisters, Wilberta Swann- Freeland, Annie Burton, Louise Proctor, Isadora Proctor, Naomi Proctor, Catherine Proctor, Cecelia Young, and Delores Buster, son-in-laws; Eugene Blake, Curtis Lightfoot, and Ernest Thompson, grandson-in-law; Wayne Proctor and great grandson William (Willie J) Blake.


She was the eighth child of 12 in her family. She was only six when her mother passed away. She moved in with her sister, Naomi after that.  She later returned to Port Tobacco and attended Bel Alton High School.  She later met and married William (Jeff) Collins and made her home in Port Tobacco, MD.  From their union, six children were born; Agnes, Cora, Paul, Rose, Michael and John.


After sending her youngest child off to school, Pauline decided it was time for her to go work. She got her first job with the Charles County Food Service. and remained with them for 32 years. She started as a cafeteria aide and worked her way up to Manager. She was the Charles County Food Service President twice, in 1989-1990 and 1999-2000. After retiring she spent her time with her grandchildren and relaxing at home. Her favorite past time was playing cards with her sisters and family and going to the casinos and traveling with family and friends.


She leaves to cherish her memories, her most loved partner James Matthews, her children, Agnes Witcher, Cora Thompson, Paul Collins, Rose Carroll, Michael Collins and John Collins; son-law Frederick Witcher, daughter-in-laws; Moon Jung Collins and Monique Collins; grandchildren: Gwendolyn, William (Kimberly), Jennifer, Diana, Mohammed (Tara), William (Teresa), Valerie, Alisha, Steven, Danielle, Jessica, Katrina and Bruce; great-grandchildren: Kayla (Michael), Xavier, Keishon, Jahaad, Raheem, Jaheem, Anthony, Taeshawn, Deanna, Jonathan, Kareem, Alacia, Alijah, Aiden, Adrian, Keiston, Sophia, Cameron, Jayden, Layla, Aaliyah, Alivia, Amari, Teira, and great, great-grandchildren: Dakari, Avianna, Kalani and Kamari.  She also leaves her sisters, Dollie Reeves and June Proctor, brother-in-law Wilbert Young and sister-in-law Mary Jane (Queen) Collins; and a host of nieces and nephews and relatives.

Viewing, 9:00 a.m., Friday, November 22, 2024, until Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 410 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Interment, St. Catherine's Catholic Church Cemetery, 7865 Port Tobacco Road, McConchie, Maryland 20677.
