Paul Joseph Harley, Sr. (AKA Peaches) was born on October 6, 1981 at Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, MD. He was baptized at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church by the late Reverend Lowell H. Hancock. Paul departed this life on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the age of 44.
Paul attended Charles County public schools and was a graduate of Lackey High School. At the time of his passing, he was employed with Walmart; however, most of his career was as a heavy equipment operator. Paul especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had a rare gift for making everyone feel like they were his best friend, especially those he gave nicknames to. Every day was an adventure for Paul and Tayala; never knowing whose home or function they might find themselves at next. He was never one to cause trouble but always ready to make you laugh and laugh some more. He was part of a pool league with Antwann and also enjoyed hanging out with Brian, Antwann, Robert, Brock, Little William, Jerrard, Harry, and Calvin.
He was preceded in death by his brother Glenn Carroll; stepfather James (Jimmy) Jackson; grandparents Edward and Ardell Bannister; grandmother Elsie Harley; and uncles William (Mike) Harley and Jern, Oliver, and Sterling Bannister. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Ardell Jackson; father Paul (Gary) Harley; grandfather William C. Harley; devoted friend Tayala Carroll; four daughters Jamya, Nyjae, Ja’lah, and Ryenn Harley; two sons Paul and Chance Harley; two sisters Shemika and Tylese Carroll; three brothers Jerry Harley, Gary Harley, and Stephen Clements; godmother Kimberly Chisley; goddaughters Jada Proctor and Rayne Key; a special niece Shonntele Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
