PATRICK MAURICE ROBINSON (AGE 60) OF WALDORF, MARYLAND.

Patrick Maurice Robinson of Waldorf, MD peacefully transitioned to eternal rest at his residence on August 18, 2020.

He was born in Washington DC on August 1, 1960 to the late Ernest Louis and Rose Ann Robinson and is the father of Chelsea and Patrick Robinson Jr.

He was educated in Charles County Public Schools. After graduating, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years active duty and continued his service for nine years more in the Reserves, where he earned a Sea Service Deployment ribbon among other honors, awards and medals.

During his career he pursued and developed his passion for driving which included owning and operating his own trucking company.

He will always be remembered for his quick wit and his infectious smile, which could illuminate a room. His compassion and kindness towards others was without limit. Pat, as he was affectionately known, never met a stranger, because to know him was to love him. He was an avid bowler, pool and card player who cherished spending time with family and friends. Pat was a humble and sincere man with a heart of gold. He would give you his last 50 cents if he thought you needed it.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Francis and Nancy Butler and his paternal grandparents Ernest and Catherine Robinson, and aunts and uncles.

Left to cherish many memories is his fiancé, Patricia; children, Chelsea (Tamond), Patrick, Adrian and Aaron; grandson, Cameron ; siblings,  Linda (Shelton), Francis (Sequita), Corrine, Laverne (Horace), Monica (Jeff), and Dewayne (Joy); uncle, Paul Robinson; two aunts, Arlene and Noreen Robinson; a total of 14 nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

His Viewing will be 1:00 pm until time of Service, 3:00 pm, Sunday, August 30, 2020 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.

Interment, 9:00 am, Monday, August 31, 2020 at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, Maryland 20623.
