On Monday December 16th, 2024 Pamela Doris Smith of Great Mills, Maryland, transitioned to eternal life.

Pam was born on May 19, 1960 in Washington, DC, the fourth and last daughter of the late Ervin and Albertine Johnson. As a child she grew up in DC and California.The last school she attended was Eastern High School Washington, DC. She has lived in Philadelphia, Pa and Mission, Texas before moving her family back to Maryland. She has worked at Andrews AFB where she met her husband. Charles County School and Giant Food where she retired from.

In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her step son James Smith and Anthony Smith, sister Karen Johnson, and brother Ervin Shultz.

She is survived by her husband James Smith, children Tanisha Johnson (Toot), Andrea Knight(Drea), and William Johnson Sr.(Bill) Daughter-in-Law Denee Johnson. Grandchildren Delonte Johnson(D.J.), DiNijah Dorsey( Mamas), DeAndre Dorsey(Casper),DaVaun Dorsey(Fatty), Diamond Dorsey(Boopa), Masiah Johnson, Malik Johnson (Munchy), William Johnson Jr.(Junavinch), Great Grandchildren Khaliq Johnson, Kaniya Dorsey, Zyair Dorsey. Sisters Erva Johnson, Angela Johnson, Terry Ferguson and Kimberly Smith and brother Anthony Harley. and a of host nieces,nephews and cousins.

Family and Friends Gathering, 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2025, until time of Memorial Service, 12:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.
