MATTHEWS, OLLIE WILLIAM III, (AGE 61) OF ACCOKEEK, MD
The clock of life is wound but once and no one has the power to tell just where the hands will stop – at late or early hour.
On Friday morning at MedStar Washington Hospital, the clock suddenly stopped for Ollie William Matthews and will never be wound again on this mortal domain.
Ollie exhaled his breath on life on August 5, 1952 in New York, New York, to the delight of his parents, the late Ollie William and Ruby Johnson Matthews. He was educated in the public schools of New York, graduating from Central Commercial High in 1971. He later continued his intellectual stimulation and growth at LaGuardia Community College, New York, NY and Northern Virginia Community College, Annandale, VA.
Ollie enlisted in the U.S Air Force in 1971 and served patriotically until 1975. He was employed by the Law Firm, Venable LLP, as an Administrative Assistant until 2009 when he retired because of declining health.
Seeking a second chance at marital bliss, Ollie was united in holy matrimony with Thee Anderson on December 23, 1988.
At precisely 5:35a.m. on November 15, 2013, Ollie William Matthews answered a call for the weary and heavy-laden.
