Nathaniel Joseph Brown (Age 70) of La Plata, Maryland.
Nathaniel "Nat" Joseph Brown was born on November 13, 1946
to the late Lawrence "Tiger" Brown and Dorothy "Nun-Nun" Brown. He departed this life peacefully on March 2, 2017.
Nathaniel was educated in the Charles County Public Schools and graduated from Pomonkey High School. When Nathaniel was five years old, he began to show interest in playing the drums by using his mother's pots and pans as drums and her flatware for drum sticks. His parents observed his interest and had his late brother-in-law,James Short, teach him how to play. He took drum lessons at Pomonkey Jr. and Sr. High School where he also played in the school band. This led to him playing in many bands throughout the Washington Metropolitan area.
He began his amazing career as a brick layer over 50 years ago and was known to be the best to have ever touched a brick. During his employment as a bricklayer with the Flaim and Morris Brothers Construction Companies, he built some of the most beautiful homes in Charles and Prince George's counties. This led him to start his own construction company (N&P) to where he continued to create and innovate. Even though he was talented in many things, most will always remember him for his AMAZING cooking! He could cook anything and make it taste like he was a five-star chef. He also loved to cook and share his wonderful delicacies with his friends and family at home
by way of cook-outs and his local hangout spots but most of all, for the senior citizens in the county. Nathaniel always gave from the heart whether it was food or money; he looked for nothing in return. He had a heart of gold.
