Michael A. Price, age 62 of Suitland, Maryland.

On Sunday, April 14, 2024, Michael went home to be with his Lord and Savior.

Michael was born on August 3, 1961, in Washington, DC to the late Lloyd and Ruth Price. He was educated by the Prince George's County Public School System.  Growing up on Gardner Road, Michael, affectionately known as Mike loved to play sports with his brothers, cousins and neighbors. He enjoyed softball and played with local recreational teams, Berry Road and PG Crew, a family team.

Mike was married in 1985 to Jasmine Bransome and from that union they had a son, Michael A. Price II.  Mike was a self-employed contractor who specialized in roofing and was also skilled at home improvement and remodeling. He enjoyed family and friends.

Mike would walk into a store and start a long conversation with the first person he saw.  You could not tell him he did not know how to cook, especially ribs (best in the family).  You knew when he was around, that walk, that smile, that loud voice - our father, our brother, our friend.  Mike was a student of the Word of God, ministering the gospel of salvation, seeking to draw brothers and sisters with him in his walk with Christ. He attended White Hall Church and headed various men's groups in the area.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Ruth Price, brother, Stanley Price, sister-in-law, Nikko Price, grandparents, George and Elizabeth Briscoe, Shirley and Ophelia Price and Trayvon Dodson, who was like a son.

He will be truly missed and so will his "Bless Your Heart."

Mike leaves his four children, Michael A. Price II, Makayla R. Freelove (Christopher), Brittni L. Pinkney (Jimmy) and MaCheryl T. Price; siblings, Floyd (Christene), Maria (Tyler), Aaron (Dawn), Deneen, Norman, and Lisa. He also leaves behind his very dear friend and confidant, Lori D. Green and son, Thomas Roberts, IV and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts.

Friends may visit with the family Friday, April 26 from 10am until time of funeral 11am in The Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, 3439 Livingston Road Indian Head, MD 20640. Interment immediately to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, Maryland 20735.
