IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Del
Giudice
February 6, 1947 – August 29, 2025
Michael Del Giudice, 78, of Bryans Road, Maryland.
Michael Del Giudice, an American-Italian was born on February 6, 1947 in Sibley hospital located in Washington DC, to Frank Paul Del Giudice and Mary Carmella Clements Del Giudice. He grew up with his two older brothers, Paul Del Giudice (deceased ) and Stephen Del Giudice, as well as his younger sister,Theresa Del Giudice Grabiner. They all lived together in a modest home in Seat Pleasant, Maryland very near to the local Catholic Church. Michael was baptized there and became an altar boy later on. In addition, he attended Catholic school until the eighth grade. He was later transferred to a public elementary school. He then attended Central High School in Maryland for four years and played football as a fullback. He often spoke about how much he loved football and how good a football player he was, especially tackling other players and always playing to win. It was always a lot of fun for him. He had an engaging and confident personality that so many people loved being around. His leadership qualities were very impressive and he was always a quick learner. He was very popular and had many friends. He successfully graduated from Central high school in June1965. After high school he worked at Merkel Press for a while, which he really enjoyed; He later joined the Army for two years and was stationed at Ft. Benning Georgia. He was assigned to work as a Supervisor Military Police officer and received many commendations such as a National Defense Service Medal; Expert (Pistol 45; Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle M-14). He was Honorably discharged from the United States Army on the 22nd day of 1972 . He then returned home after his service and began working at the C&P Telephone Company which later changed to AT&T; and also worked for additional communications companies such as Alcatel-Lucent, and Avaya telephone companies. He was a great communicator in customer service and always got along well with most people. An honest, generous, caring and thoughtful person with impeccable manners and always willing to help others.
Soon after, Mike and I met and started dating. We soon fell in love and got married on August 8, 1974. In 1976 we celebrated again by welcoming our beautiful baby girl Jennifer Del Giudice. We were thrilled beyond belief.
Continuing on with his career he worked at the CIA as a contractor, and later transferred to NASA, where he worked as a telecommunications engineer relating to the current space program at the time. He was presented with the "Snoopy " award, a very prestigious award for his outstanding work on this very important space project. He was also presented with memorabilia of badges and photos of the individuals that had gone up in the space ship at that time. He also worked at the Ronald Reagan building in Washington, D.C. for the USAID Agency before finally deciding to retire. He really enjoyed his retirement being able to spend more time with his family and enjoying a round of golf with his weekly foursome, and working tirelessly on various home projects, such as his garden to always enhance the area around our home.
Mike was an amazing man, an organ donor as well as a blood donor. Further he was a do it yourself kind of person who successfully fixed almost anything he put his mind to. He worked on cars, was an avid amateur golfer, an excellent cook, especially with Italian food. He proudly spoke fondly of learning from his "Gram" growing up and often mentioned how he wished he could have learned more if he could have lived with her as a teenager to watch her cook delicious, Italian dishes.
He also was a very loving, fantastic, and passionate husband to Carol Ann Del Giudice, as well as a proud and wonderful father to our daughter, Jennifer Del Giudice, and a "father figure" to Carol's son Michael Dorey, grandfather of Kwame Diallo Del Giudice and Neena Samone Del Giudice; and now a great grandfather of Nino and Vincenzo.
I will always truly remain in love with Mike and so very grateful and blessed for everything he has been for me and our family. Our marriage was truly solid and loving. Thank you God for bringing us together so long ago, and allowing Mike to continue to remain with me and our family for fifty amazing and wonderful years, which we celebrated our very special 50th anniversary on August 8, 2025. Mike had a very happy life until an unexpected incident happened, and he peacefully passed away on August 29, 2025 at 7:41 p.m. My closure for Mike, my true love and soul mate is that he is now in heaven with God, and all his protective angels surrounding him.
Gone too soon, but never forgotten. The great memories of this very special man will remain with me and our family in our hearts and minds forever and ever, Amen. I hope to see you again my love, someday in heaven.
