May Evelyn "Doreen" Savoy (Age 55) of Indian Head, Maryland

Doreen was born on Feb 23, 1965 in Prince George's Hospital, Cheverly, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Richard Raggie "Ray" and Elizabeth Alice "Hazel" Savoy.  She Slipped peacefully and departed this life on November 21, 2020 at Charles County Hospice House in Waldorf, Maryland.

Doreen was baptized in the Catholic faith where she remained an active member. She was  a very dedicated and loving Mother to Tia and Marquis and grandmother to her 6 grandchildren, Jasmine, MJ, Damien, Elaina, Jewels and Zakari. She enjoyed and loved spending time with her fiancée and Best Friend, Cedric Yates (Joe).

Doreen's passion was playing pool with her brothers Karl and Jimmy, she was so good she joined a women's Southern Maryland pool league and she won several Trophies and was "Number 1 Woman" in her League. She always loved sports and loved to watch Football games with Joe on Sunday. She loved her family and would do anything she could to help when needed. She had a Big Heart and everyone that knew her adored and loved her.

Doreen graduated from La Plata High School in 1984. She was a stay at home mom with both of her kids for several years after. When she was ready to start her career, she chose the medical and billing field. She began her career at Civista hospital where she spent many years.

Predeceased by her loving parents, Ray and Hazel Savoy and her loving brothers were Marvin, Bobby and Eddie. She leaves to cherish her memories her fiance Joe, two loving children Marquis and Tia Proctor; two step-children Tyshia and Rayveon Yates; Devoted siblings: Junior (Salome), (Janie), Alice (Ronnie), Gene (Karen), William (Christine), Karl (Cindy), Tommy (Roxanne), (Chrissy), Alan (Marilyn), Jimmy (Jackie). Kevin (Marie), Rose (Earnest), and Brian (Tosha); Grandchildren Jasmine, MJ, Damien, Elaina, Jewels, and Zakari. Aunts; Pauline Savoy, Betty and Lillie Thompson, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Her Viewing will be, 10:00 am, until time of Service, 11:00 am, Saturday, December 5, 2020, in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland 20640.  Interment, St. Peter's Catholic Church Cemetery, 3320 St. Peter's Drive, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
