Mary Ellen Hamilton, age 75 of Fort Washington, Maryland died June 5th 2024 from cancer.

She was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1948 but at an early age her parents and sister Barbara moved to Colorado.  She grew up in Arvada, Colorado before moving to Washington, DC to work for the FBI.

She married Bill Hamilton in 1970 and enjoyed 51 years of marriage until Bill's death in 2022.  During their retirement years they spent time going on cruises and travelling.  When at home, she and Bill enjoyed spending time at auctions.  They made many lifelong friends through buying and selling antique glass and porcelain.

They moved to Battersea On The Bay in Fort Washington, MD in 1988 where they considered themselves truly fortunate to be surrounded by so many friends and neighbors.

During her working career, she was employed by IBM where she worked at several positions in the Maryland, Washington DC area and finished her career commuting to New Jersey until she retired after 32 years in 2002.

Although she and Bill did not have children, they were blessed to have a Nephew and his wife, Scott and Lorrie Noakes as well as a Niece, Debbie Jellico, her three children, Brodie, Kayla, and Dominick, all living in Colorado.  Their loving care and support was priceless as she progressed through her cancer fight.
