Martha Helen (Wheeler) Brown, 82, of Waldorf, Maryland.

Martha Helen Brown was born in Issue, MD on June 22,1938 to the late Frank Matthew Wheeler and Martha Mary Smallwood. She unexpectedly departed this life on January 9, 2021. She is proceeded in death by one daughter Biola Brown; Sisters Audrey Wheeler and Mary Lucille Ford; Brothers Joseph Wheeler and Francis Wheeler. Grandson Tyron Brown.

Martha, known to many as Helen, attended Charles County public schools . She was a member of the Catholic Church. She spent her life as a home maker, raising her children and spoiling her grand and great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Knight of Saint John's Scared Heart Ladies Auxiliary #301 and the Elks Lodge of Newburg, MD for 32 plus years. She also joined the Waldorf Jaycee's Senior Group.

Some of Martha's favorite past times were completing cross word puzzles, playing Bingo, going to the casino, and sitting in her recliner people watching out the window . Martha lived at Victory Lakeside Apartments for over 20 years. While living there she made numerous friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Martha was adored and admired by everyone she met.

Martha leaves to cherish in her memory her brother James (Margaret) Wheeler. Her loving children: Sylvia (Perez) Hicks, Frank (Helen) Brown Jr, Mark Brown, Beverly Brown, Marcus Brown, Bonita Brown. Granddaughters: Sharquita (Charles) Kelly, LaQuoya Brown, Porsha Brown, Chermiah Brown, Autumn Brown, Ebony Brown and Tynia Brown. Three great grandchildren: Sydnee Kelly, Nevaeh and Nahyir Brown. And a host of special nieces and nephews. She had several special friends that she kept in touch with.

Viewing, 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 25, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.  Interment, Church Cemetery.
