Obituary

On Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, Virginia, Mark Anthony Hart was called home to glory. Mark was born October 31, 1959 to Virginia Brockington and the late James E. Hart. His step-father was the late Phillip Brockington.

He attended Charles County Public Schools.

Mark enlisted in the United States Army in 1978. He met and married Philis Briscoe, May 11, 1987. From that marriage four children were born.

Mark worked for Sam Rust Seafood Company until the time of his death. He was loved by all his coworkers.

He loved spending time with his family. He also loved playing the guitar and using the computer. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, camping and listening to music.

Mark was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law and son-in-law. He had a loving and humble spirit. He was very devoted to all that he came into contact with. His favorite saying was "don't mind if I do… "

In addition to his father and step father Mark was also preceded in death by his brother, James Kenny Hart.

In addition to his mother he leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Philis Hart, daughters, LaTisha Hart, LaTonya Hart, LaTasha Conway, and LaShell Briscoe, seven grandchildren, Shauntia Conway, Shauniya Conway, Sharniece Chase, Khalayla Chase, Tamara Cole, Tanaysha Dixon and Malik Chase, one son-in-law, Mathew Conway, two sisters, Marsha Brown and Michelle Santiago, six brothers, Perry Hart, Brent Hart, Kevin Hart, Jeffery Hart, Tracey Hart and Derrick Barnett, mother-in-law, Ann Briscoe and father-in-law, Joseph Briscoe, Sr., eight sisters-in-law, Connie Hart, Agnes Hart, Jennifer Barnett, Jacqueline Jackson, Belinda Chase, Tammy Briscoe, Charlene Briscoe, and Krystal Briscoe, eight brothers-in-law, Michael Jackson, Marvin Chase, Joseph Briscoe, Jr., Gregory Briscoe, Joseph Santiago, Keith Brown, Kevin Briscoe and Jerod Briscoe. Mark had many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and a host of family and friends.

Visitation 5:00pm until time of Service, 6:30pm on Sunday Evening, November 13, 2011 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland. Interment, 10am, Monday, November 14, 2011, Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Maryland.
