Margie Lorraine Hurdle Thomas, age 85, of Clinton, Maryland.

On Friday July 22, 2022, our matriarch went home to life eternal, Margie L. Hurdle, transitioned quietly in her home in Clinton, Maryland at 4:58 pm.

Mom was born on March 28th,1937 in Shoulder's Hill, Virginia, educated in Virginia public schools.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Calperna Hurdle, first husband, Paul R. Robinson, second husband, Frank P. Hudson, son-in-law, Wallace Lewis, leaving to carry on her legacy, children Keith L Hudson (Angie), Karen J. Rhue (David), Frank Paul Hudson (Leslie) and Jaynada L. Hudson; grandchildren, Shirline Lawson ( David), 5 great grands, Portia Taylor (Demond), 1 great grand, Nikkie Knowles (Tiere), 5 great grands, Keith Hudson (Caress), 4 great grands, Tina L. Kandill (Eric ), 7 great grands, 1 great great grand, Dawn N. Hopkins, 1 great grand, Paula L., 3 great grands, Brittany R. Branch (Ryan), 1 great grand, Ashley L. Robinson, Jordan J. Robinson, LaToya E. Robinson, James Gracie, Kyle Hudson, 1 great grand, Kristan, 3 great grands and Monique Griffin (Stephen), 1 great grand.  Mom had 1 Goddaughter, Theresa Claggett and our village Berkshire Dr.

Our family relocated from Aliquippa, Pennsylvania in 1969 to Chillum, Maryland. She worked numerous jobs from Ma Bell to Chesapeake & Potomac (C&P) Telephone Company as an operator, finally landing a job at the Naval Weapons Warfare Center located in Silver Spring, Maryland, from which she retired.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother who really loved her family and wanted nothing but the best for us.  Mom was a true believer in the Lord, she loved baking and her pound cakes were the talk of the neighborhood.  She loved when her family would drop in to spend time with her and she would always make us some delicious chicken salad.  The bowl would be empty by the time we left as everyone had a container leaving out the door.  Mom will truly be missed by many.
